Sushi happy hours in Miami: nigiri, rolls and what each price buys

OMAKAI's happy-hour nigiri selection includes seared salmon and a bluefin tuna tasting at $6 for two pieces. That is $3 per piece before charges, not $6 for each piece. Its separate $6 hand rolls are a different format and should not be counted as two-piece nigiri orders.

Two eligible nigiri orders give you four pieces for a $12 menu subtotal. The published 18% service charge makes that $14.16 before tax and any discretionary additional gratuity.

Paperfish's Brickell happy-hour page puts five-piece Spicy Tuna, California and Hamachi Jalapeño rolls in its $7.95 section. The same section lists a four-piece salmon nigiri order. The matching price lets you choose a format without assuming every sushi order has the same piece count.

One $7.95 selection becomes about $9.38 after the mandatory 18% service charge, before tax. The reviewed page is explicitly labeled Brickell and weekdays; do not transfer these hours to Saturday or to another location.

The current Sundown Somewhere menu lists two-piece salmon or yellowtail nigiri for $8, and selected maki at $12 for six to eight pieces. Maki portions vary; ask how many pieces come with your chosen roll instead of treating every order as eight.

Supplements change the comparison: chu-toro adds $5, o-toro adds $10, and the king crab California roll adds $4. An unsupplemented $8 nigiri order becomes $9.60 with the 20% service charge, before tax. Saturday is not in the published happy-hour schedule.

Uchiko's happy-hour nigiri section specifies two pieces per order: sake, meaning Atlantic salmon here, costs $9, while bincho albacore costs $8. Nasu, the Japanese eggplant option, is $6 for two. Those amounts are order prices; the salmon example works out to $4.50 per piece before charges.

The second daily window is the practical difference for a late sushi plan. Happy hour stops at 6:30 and resumes at 9, so 8 PM is not covered. The menu is updated daily; check your chosen items again before heading to Purdy Avenue.
